Summer Bucket List

There are SO many things that I want to do each summer and I talk about doing them all winter long. However, when summer finally arrives, I forget to do half of the things I wanted to do and end up doing the same few dates every weekend (movies, dinner, etc) So this summer I decided to make a bucket list of all of the things I want to do this summer! I printed them on little squares and hung them on a bulletin board in my hallway so that we can always be reminded of them. Anytime we get bored and need something to do, we can look for ideas here. After we have completed the activity, we will put it in the bag and save it for next summer!
Here are pictures of what mine looks like:

You can alter yours to make it look however you want or even just make a simple list and mark them off as you do them. I have done ideas like this before, though, and I always forgot about the list and therefore, forgot about the ideas.

Below are a list of ideas that you can add to your bucket list:

If you have any other ideas for a bucket list, submit them in the comments so I can add them to my list. Thank you!

Shopping N Stuff

Okay, I'm getting a lot of messages asking about where I do my shopping, so currently these are some of my favorites!

1. This is for workout gear (men's and women's) - Fashletics

2. This is for sports gear (they have every team you could think of, college and pro) - FansEdge

3. These websites both offer cute outfits like Forever 21 & H&M and for close to the same price. Definitely a must check out - Cupshe and Gamiss

4. This website offers tons of cute clothes as well, but the bathing suits are what got me the most! - DressFo

I think you should check them all out, but I put the details beside each one in case you have a more particular style. If you have any cool places that you shop online, please post below so I can check them out!
Thanks for the support guys!

Shoulders

Today I worked out triceps and shoulders, but since I gave you most of the tricep workouts that I do I am going to share my shoulder workout with you.

Shoulders
4 sets 8-12 regular press
4 sets 8-12 arnold press
4 sets 8-12 single-handed hang-n-press
4 sets 8-12 single upright row
4 sets 8-12 90* lateral raises
4 sets 8-12 dumbbell side lateral raise
4 sets 8-12 dumbbell shoulder pump
(grab a pretty heavy weight, I did 20lbs, and hold the dumbbell with one hand on each side then lift the weight out away from you and up...this KILLS)
4 sets of 5 TYI shoulder burnout (LOW LOW LOW weight)

Again, if you've read in my other posts, always aim for 12, but if you can get through 4 sets of 12 on the weight you are doing, with no trouble or really heavy breathing then you need to move up weight.

I found 2 new websites that I think you guys should checkout. I am going to go broke from all this online shopping, but it is worth it.
1. The first one is DressFo. They have tons of cute clothes, but what got me was their bikini selection. Check them out here .. DressFo
2. The second one is Fashletics. (clever, right?) Anyway they have really cute jewelry you can make that have motivational meanings, but what got me is the workout gear. It is so cute and I went a little crazy with the tank tops! Check them out here .. Fashletics

Biceps & Triceps... wahh

Okay, so today I made it to the gym! It was Arm Day (Bis and Tris)
So here is what I did:

Biceps
4 sets of 8-12 wide barbell curls
4 sets of 8-12 narrow barbell curls
4 sets of 8-12 hammer curls (I upped my weight on this today so.... YAY ME!)
4 sets of 8-12 wide dumbbell curls
4 sets of 8-12 single cable curls
4 sets of 8-12 cable bar curl
4 sets of 8-12 bicep curl machine

Triceps
4 sets of 8-12 skull crushers w/ barbell
4 sets of 8-12 skull crushers w/ dumbbells
(as a brought the weight back up I flicked my arms from vertical to horizontal to work another muscle in my triceps instead of just repeating the same as skull crushers original)
4 sets of 8-12 single dumbbell extension
(You can do a higher weight and use both hands or use a lower, but still heavy weight, and do it single handed. I do it single, so that I can focus on the muscle I'm working & make sure each arm works equally instead of relying on one to do the work)
4 sets of 8-12 concentrated dumbbell press
(This is the same concept. I lay down on a flat bench and tricep press one hand, the other hand, then both. That is one rep, I repeat that to 12 or if my arms are about to give out, then 8)
4 sets of 8-12 single cable tricep pull downs
4 sets of 8-12 rope cable push down
4 sets of 8-12 tricep push down machine

I say 4 sets of 8-12 because you want to aim for 12. If you can consistently do 12 reps with the weight you are using throughout 4 sets and you are not DYING, then you need to up your weight. You should barely be able to get to 12. When you are at a weight that is good for you, or upping your weight for the first time, you should still aim for 12, but if it is too much, at least do 8 reps and aim for 10 the next time until you can make it to 12. This will help you raise your weight without causing injury!

**ALSO.. women .. DO NOT worry about getting huge and body builder bodies. This can only happen if you are taking supplements that feed your body testosterone. Women do not have a natural ability to become that big so DO NOT be scared to up your weight. That is something to be proud of and excited about!
Comment below if you upped your weight recently or what muscle you like to workout the most.
If there are more tips that you'd like to read about then comment that below too and I will do my best to answer!

Online-Window-Shopping

Okay, today I had to skip the gym because it is my mom's birthday! Since I clean houses for a living and I am more poor than most 6 year olds right now, I decided to make her some homemade coupons. I am giving her 2 coupons, both worth 3 hours of cleaning her house. I know with her working overtime almost every week and having two kids at home who don't ever pick up after themselves that this will be better than anything I can afford at the moment anyway!

However, when I do get money......I found this website that I freaking love. If you shop at Forever 21 or H&M, you will love this website. It has tons of cute clothing items for REALLY cheap! It has jewelry, accessories, and clothes. I am obsessed and have been online-window-shopping since I found it.
So if you also NEED cute summer clothes, here is the link! G A M I S S

Let me know if you buy anything in the comments!

At-Home Cardio

Today is my cardio day at the gym. However, since our little puppy has been a little sick, I decided to do cardio at home.
Here is the routine I did and I repeated it several times. I know it sounds lazy, but what I do is complete one set of this routine in between tv shows or commercials. It kind of works like a HITT program for me because it is constantly keeping my heart rate high versus getting it all done in one sitting. With my breathing issues, it makes it a lot easier to complete as well.
ANYWAY, here is the routine I did and since it takes me about 8 minutes, I repeated it 4 times in order to get my 30 minutes of cardio in.

- 45 jumping jacks
- 20 side-to-side jumps
- 20 uppercuts
- 5 burpees
- 25 high knee kicks
- 25 butt kicks
- 5 jumping jacks
- 20 seconds marching in place
- 20 seconds jogging in place
- 5 burpees
- 35 jumping jacks
- 20 mountain climbers
- 5 burpees
- 2 minutes marching in place

If this is too easy for you, you can increase the numbers of each workout or just repeat it immediately. This gets my heart rate high and keeps it high for an extra few minutes after I've finished as well. Hope you enjoy.

Also I wanted to give a shoutout to the M E C H A L Y brand. They have SO many cool things on their website that you wouldn't find in chain stores. Plus they are having a sale right now 35% off!
You couldn't ask for a better time to buy. Check them out and let me know what you buy in the comments!
